Cromargan®: 18/10 rust free stainless steel – unique and indestructible

Cutlery, pots, or kitchen gadgets - all of WMF’s products need to be suitable for daily use and retain their beautiful appearance for as long as possible - regardless how often they are used. WMF has taken care of that, offering a wide range of Cromargan® products for the last 80 years. The name Cromargan® is derived from the words “chrome” and “argan” – “chrome” due to steel’s particularly high chromium content and “argan” due to its silvery appearance.

Virtually all of WMF’s products are made from Cromargan®: 18/10 rust free stainless steel, a material with outstanding usability and ease of care. This premium stainless steel is odorless and tasteless and is also resistant to food acids. Cromargan® is also scratch and impact-resistant and retains its durability, even with intense usage. And of course, all products made from Cromargan® 18/10 rust free stainless steel are dishwasher safe.
